HI there,
If the transmission is actually selecting the reverse position and there is no drive, this will be an internal failure in the transmission, you will have to get a trans specialist to do a test and report on this to get a full diagnosis of this problem, there are a number of tests that will have to be done first hand to fully understand what is going on.
