Just bought this truck from a private owner. The brake pedal went all the way to the floor and seemed to barely stop. I came home and installed a new master cylinder. I bleed a the brakes. Pedal seemed harder but when I started it up it wasnt. And after time it seems to slowly be getting worse and getting like it was before I changed it.

A few things, when I was bleeding the system one caliper in the front either had alot of air or something else casue I had the bleeder screw open and no fluid then after a few moments out came fluid. Same thing happen in back brakes.

There are some electronic looking board persay connected to master cyclinder.

Make sure all brake lines and fitting are tight and no leaks
Check brake lines if rusted or corroded and or leaking
Air tends to cling to caliper walls.
When bleeding vehicles with disc brakes, lightly tap caliper to help remove air.
Rapid pumping of brake pedal causes master cylinder secondary piston to move into a position that makes bleeding system difficult

I went and replaced the front 2 calipers and both rear wheel cylinders. The one in the rear was leaking so just to be safe I replaced. Bleed brakes. Makes no difference. Pedal goes down pretty far but stops the brakes. Am I just use to my wife's New car or what?

The car was like this before I tried to fix it so I am pretty sure its not my bleeding of brakes thats the problem. There is something that the master cylinder lines hook into then go to the brakes. Not sure what it is. ABS? Could that be the problem?

I even checked to see if it was the booster and no problems.
