My engine produces a high pitched squealing noise once the engine warms up. I have replaced the belt but it didn't change anything. I actually removed the belt and started the engine to see if it would stop, thinking it was one of the various pulley bearings but the squeal continued without the belt on. It appears to be coming from the front passenger side of the engine but I am not sure. I feel the engine idles too high also, if that could have anything to do with it. Any suggestions?

There really isn't anything other than a belt that would squeal. Have you checked to see if there are any vacuum leaks that could be making noise?
