1989 Chevy Silverado Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I am trying to find out what the pan behind the oil pan is called there is two bars next to it. And it has 2 8m nuts in it and one is missing, will this cause problems.

Tath's the flywheel cover and no problems if nut is missing. I've seen hundreds without the cover
