I have a 98 chevy s-10 pickup with 2.2L 88,000 miles and i'm getting ready to replace the timing chain for the 4th time!!!!!!
Seems to be that the chain tensioner is what breaks and then spools the chain....you will hear a rattle that sounds like a diesel for a while before it breaks...when you rev the Engine it stops the noise but comes right back at idol
I have bought the timing chains from NAPA, AUTOZONE,SPEEDWAY AUTO PARTS and its the same chain manufacturer
Any ideas as to why i have been through so many chains...is this a factory design problem or what?????
