I have had some recent problems with my 99 chevy s10. I has 75000 miles on it and has a V-6 4.3. My check engine light has been coming on and going back off. When it goes on it stays solid(not blinking). Anyways, I took to the first mechanic and they said it was my cyclinders misfiring. I wasn't too happy with the way they were handeling things so I took it to a second mechanic to get it checked out. They said I needed a full tune up and my fuel injectors cleaned. I was expecting that information but was shocked when they added 15 more things to the list. One of the things they said was that all 3 of my oxygen sensors were burnt out. But wouldn't have the first mechanic picked up on that when the original diagnostic was ran? Also, the 2nd mechanic wanted to replace my PCV valve which was fine because the part was $16. The only thing I was upset about was the $300 labor fee they wanted to charge me for it. Is this a part I could reach and replace myself? Please help before I'm completely broke.
Thank you
