windshield wiper arm removal

Here is the instructions and diagrams to help you change the wiper arm out. I would apply pressure then shock it with a hammer. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

How to tighten loose windshield wiper arm on 2000 Chevy s-10?

When you say "wiper arm" I take it the windshield wiper arm attachment to the wiper transmission the spline where the wiper arm attaches to area is loose. The wiper arm needs to be clocked 90 degrees then fully depressed onto the wiper transmission. When the arm is fully engaged to wiper knop it should click and fold down to the vertical position. If wiper arm has a nut under a cover on the wiper arm simply tighten it if your in proper alignment. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

The driver's side wiper arm just stopped working. The passenger side still works fine, and it seems that the motor is still running. Could the wiper arm be stripped or would it be the cam it attaches to? Also, how do I remove the wiper arm without damaging anything...I pulled and wiggled and it won't budge, is there a retainer nut?

The whole end is the cover, under it there wil be a nut. Sounds like the arm broke the pivot bushing, no big deal to fix

On a 1998 chevy s-10 truck how do u remove the windshield wiper arm ?

if it doesn't have a bolt or nut holding it on there may be a little lock that will come loose. If not that then it will just pull off but that is better done with a tool to take it off or a flat screwdriver to help pry it off.

I would like to remove wiper arms to take off body panel underneath. My seal around hood arms are leaking

pull the arms up then look at the base of the arm there is a little hole that goes straight through. put a nail in it or cotter pin. then let pressure off of arm and wiggle it, it should pop off. hope this helps

if that does not work there may be a tab lift arm look for a little tab on the side of base pull that tab out it does not move very far that will hold the orm in the air then wiggle see if it comes off

There are two ways they can be secured. One is by a bolt under a cover where the wiper arm is attached. The other has a slide clip that is at the base of the arm. Is will slid open and then the arm can come off.
