truck is running hotter than normal between half and 3quators. i know clutchfan is suposed to engage when geting hot does not . is there a senser that makes it engage if so where is it located if not how does system work.

No sensor, they are thermostatically controlled (heat). Look on the front of it (rad side) for fluid leaking out of the center.If it doesnt pull alot of air when the engine is hot, I would replace it.Does it get hot while driving or just sitting? May also want to have the cooling system flushed, the Dexcool they used in those can plug up the cooling system and create problems
