Every now and then when I first start my truck and begin driving my ABS light will stay on, the Speedometer reads 0, and the transmission will not shift. At first it only lasted for a short period but today it lasted for over 5 miles.

What can cause this and can the Chevy house do a computer read out and tell me what the problem is if the problem is not present at the time?

It should have stored a code to help figure this out. Sounds like the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) is shorting out. If the PCM cant see how fast the truck is going it cant shift the trans or work the ABS
