I own a Chevy S-10 with 107,000 miles and the standard 4.3L Vortac engine. About 3 months ago the grinding/squeal began. It only occurs when I push on the accelerator. The sound stops when no pushing on the accelerator and has never occurred when the accelerator is not being pushed on. It is difficult to determine where the sound is coming from but is loud with the windows down. The sound will occur when starting from a stop and continues up to highway speed. The sound does not change as the automatic transmission shifts through the gears, it is diffidently related to the tire speed and not engine RPM. The sound is also not consistent, but does occur about 80-90% of the time. The sound can be avoided if the accelerator is pushed on very slightly, but will occur during normal acceleration.

I change my own oil, lubrication, and rotate the tires. I had the brakes inspected about 6 weeks ago and they found minimal dust which they blew out and said the pads were fine and not near the squealers.

The noise is to the point of being so annoying I'm ready to get rid of the vehicle if I can't find an answer.
I appreciate any information or ideas from anyone. Thank you for your time and effort with this!

Check motor mounts! Check bolts between engine and tranny for tightness!
