my windshield wipers do not operate. I turn the switch on and hear a humming sound but nothing happens. Don't know if it is the relay switch or the motor itself. Please help.

If you hear a humming sound, it sounds like the motor is running. Have you checked the wiper linkage to see if it is disconnected from the motor?
