Fusible links could be down at the battery terminal on the starter. Light coming On -you have a short within the alternator circuit. Could be the diodes in the alty-

i was hoping it wasnt my alter. but if it is then i guess i will just by the high output one..but i'm headin out to the garage to try and look for the fusiable links.. now to find out if there bad or not just look for a melted wire?
