1998 Chevy S-10 fuse and fuel pump

i got a 98 s-10 the fuel pump works some times and sometimes it dont, the pump is brand new so it isnt that... i got a fuse labeled ENG1 in the box under the hood, i can not keep a fuse in it every time i put one in and turn the key on it blows. hopefully you can help me figure out my problems... Thank You

when you changed the pump did you change the pig tail in to the pump in the tank? it is not abnormal for it to melt an give you an intermitent problem, if it is grounding to itself that can be th cause of your fuse issue also. good luck
