Hi, my me is Joshua Bailey and I am having problems fixing my break line from the master cylinder to what I believe to be the back breaks. The break line rusted through so I fixed it using another 1/4" break line and compression fittings. Now the problem seems to be with the master cylinder. The breaks worked fine when I bought the truck 2 months ago but after the break line rusted I didn't have money to repair it so I blocked the line with a nail head so I could reserve break fluid. Now that I have fixed the break line the and with the nail removed I cant get any fluid to release from the master cylinder to the new break line. What could be the problem?

first you shouldn't use a compression fitting on a brake line as it won't let teh fluid come back to the master properly, let alone put premature wear on your brakes. Besides if you did that the line will more than lkely break someplace else shortly. you will need to either get a power bleeder or a vacuum type pump to pull the fluid through the system to bleed it. the rear brakes are the last to be applied so it is hard to get the master to properly put fluid in the back system. Especially with ABS which should be on your vehicle.
