The door latch that is located inside the door jab of the 3rd door broke when I tried to open it recently.

I purchased a new latch, now I need to know how to open the door and what are the steps to replace the broken one.

Not too bad - remove 2 screws @ handle, then reach in and pull rods to release upr&lower latches. Note position of plastic sleeves on threaded rods before unsnapping. To install new handle, you must remove the upper seat belt bolt, then the trim panel - it snaps out with some effort. When installing new handle, be sure to securely snap the plastic sleeve onto the threaded area of the release rods in the same position the originals were removed. GM replacement handles are $30-$35, and don't last long- my original lasted 8 yrs, 150k (opening 4x/day)- 3 replacements since then (+3yrs+70k). GM replacement handles are not as good as original. If you search, you can find aluminum handles for < $50. So far, I've stayed with GM, though. Less than 1 hour if you are careful.
