Hello last week my brother and i replaced the starter on my s-10 vortec v6 before we changed the started the whole truck was getting power, we had to hit the old starter to get it started to get it in the driveway. But we removed the alternator to have it tested as well as the battery cause we had to jump the battery 4 times before being able to start it.
the last jump start there was a giant spark come from the starter and then it started we got it into the driveway. got it up pulled the alternator out along with the battery took those to the auto parts shop they told us those were good. Then i proceeded to replace the starter. got everything all buttoned up everything in. went to start the car it wouldnt turn over cause there was no power getting to anything in the car. found one bad relay, we replaced that. Checked all the fuses everything was good. I am not too sure if this year has a fusible link or not . So i am wondering if it could be the fusible link and if so which one is it and where is it?
