I am wondering why my break lights are not working i have checked the wireing, the fuses and cannot seem to figure out what is wrong i also had some of my 4 of friends who know a few thing about vehicles. My turn signals, runing lights and hazards all work. Also if it helps when i press on the breaks it makes a funny noise.

Suspect faulty brake light switch..switch is connected to top of brake pedal arm. When brake is depressed it kicks the switch in closing the circuit which illuminates the brake lights.
