1993 Chevy S-10 Error code 43

I have replaced the knock sensor and ESC Module and still get the error 43 after driving a while, the check engin light does not stay on but may come on for just a few seconds or may not come on at all during 20 to 30 mile trips. What are the next steps to finding out the trouble.

Sometimes the fix here is to replace the distributor due to distributor can lose it's ground in the housing OR the shaft magnet gets too weak.
