1993 4 door Blazer with 4.3 liter "W" motor. I have a noise in the front driver side that no one including myself has been able to diagnose.
Sounds like a Whirr, whirr, whirr, noise that goes up & down with the rotation of the tire. Starting and stopping during each revalution. I have replaced both the CV drive axles and the hub assemblies(both sides) to no avail. The noise still exist. I had a alignment done, nothing. I have had two shops look it over, neither could figure it out either. Had them check everything they could including whether something was bent. They said there was nothing was that they could see.
Now here's the funny thing, when I engage the 4 wheel drive(push button, (vac)) the noise goes away. I have just purchased new torsion bar mounts/insulators possibly thinking that could be the problem, grasping at straws here.
Any ideas.
Thanks
