1991 Chevy S-10 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

i have a 91 chevy s10 pick-up. whenever it rains heavily, i notice the carpet on the driver side is wet. the weather stripping around the door and the moon roof are in good condition. i followed the leak and it goes towards the left side of the firewall. there are no holes, no areas that are rusted out inside the cab. any suggestions?

I had a similar problem. The water in my S-10 was coming from around the electrical block mounted on the firewall under the master cylinder. I cleaned up the area around the electrical block and sealed it with silicone sealant. I also cleaned up the air intake where the wiper linkage is located to ensure that the water from the windshield drained the right way. No problems for five years now.
