1989 Chevy S-10 hood lever

Welcome to the forum, I have seen universal hood release kits in the autostores. You'll just have to look at them, see what you think? One of my older vehicles out front, the hood release cable broke on it, I hooked a wire to the release mechanism under the hood, let it hang down behind the front bumper, the wire is tied at top and bottom, enough slack that I reach behind the bumper and pull wire. May not be applicable in you case? I know, not real professional, but, it works. Somebody the other day called me a backwoods mechanic, I guess I am. Have a good day.
