I OWN A '88 S-10 with 317.419(thats right) miles. This old boy has and is working like a swiss watch except for an egr code which occurs at 55 mph. I pulled out the egr valve and tried that repair manual check by pushing up on the diapghram and holding my finger over the vacum hole, it held its pressure/vacum. So what i did was buy a new $100 egr solenoid, that did not solve the problem what would cause the egr code to be activated?
