My 2000 Chevrolet S-10 2.2 L, 4 cylinder truck is having an acceleration problem. While driving it the acceleration seems like it gets stuck. The truck starts to get into the 4's and 5's of the RPM's and it keeps going faster and faster and when I try to slow it down the brakes won't work (I guess because the truck is going so fast) Eventually to stop I have to use the emergency brake. I turn the truck off and turn it back on and it is still really high in the RPM's and idling way too high, like the gas is pushed down.
