Hey mike,
More than likely the blower resister, some models were changed to the solid state style and not the old wire resistor style and they fail quite often.

Thanks Chris. That's good to hear since I was thinking that if the resister failed it might be due to a bad blower with lower than acceptable resistance forcing me to get a new blower motor as well. I hope that you are right . How common is it that you need to replace both the blower motor as well as theresister?

Mike,
Not very common, and a good indicator that all is ok is that your blower works fine on high speed. It is pretty common for those resistors to go as they are solid state and were not sealed very well and the slightest bit of moisture would cause corrosion and failure

Hey Chris & Carundell :D ,
Just wanted to let you know that you were absolutely right!! Replaced the Blower Motor Resistor and everything works fine. There was an open circuit in the blower resistor.

You reallly know what you're talking about!

This is an amazing and excellent service that you provide. Happy Holidays!!!!
