2003 Other Chevrolet Models oil pump

lookin for the location of my oil pump been havin low oil pressure almost none at times took off the oil pan thats where i was told it was and not inside.
its a 03 silverado, duramax 6.6, turbo diesel

The oil pump is in a housing on the front of the engine. Here is a pic of what you are looking for.

Ok it is belt driven. So you will remove the serp belt inspect it and replace if needed. Then you will remove the harmonic balancer and then you can get to the oil pump. It is on the right side of engine just below the vacuum pump. Here is a pic of both cal and fed emission engines. You will need to right click and save to picture so you can magnify them and you will see what I am saying. Hope this helps. Cal emissions engine.
