I just purchased 2002 Winnebago Brave with the Vortec 8100 and the Allison Trans with the Workhorse Chassis. Everything works but the cruise control. Spent $160 for the local truck garage to say they can't find it. It is the GM cruise, not an aftermarket. There is power to the switch (on the turn signal arm) - a constant hot wire with the key on and another hot wire when you depress the switch. The brake switch was checked and seems to be working. What next??

Now there isn't much that controls the cruise on a gm product there is the switches the brake switch the powertrain module and throttle actuator control module. Now I am going to try to post the test procedure for you cruise system you might need to right click on it save pic as and then use you window's program to magnify it and print it ok.

I hope this will work this is the test procedure to find out what is bad so that you won't guess as to what is causing you cruise problems. Let me know I do anything else ok

Thanks so much for the reply, but I can't make out the scanned pages you sent. I tried saving them to my desktop and opening with other apps, but when I magnify, they are too pixelized to read. Also tried printing them out, but still unreadable.

Thanks for your help.....
