Starts but will not idle, Runs rough. Check TP sensor
replaced MAP sensor. If I disconnect MAP sensor
Engine runs good. But check engine light comes on.
any help will be appreciated.

by disconnecting the map sensor all you did was make the computer go to open loop, you'll have to have the engine scanned to see if any thing else is causing the problem. But in the meantime, clean the throttle plate on both sides with choke cleaner and the oblong hole that is near there. then reinstall the duct and see if the truck will idle then. if it does problem solved, but have the codes cleared as well after this.

I have it running good now, The only time I had any
trouble codes show up was when I was checking the
other sensors. It turn out to be the fuel pump!
From the information I gathered GM went to 30 PSI
on there fuel systems in 94-95. before that it was
10 - 12 and after that it is 55 - 60. Put in the right pump
and it is running great for now. Codes are all cleared,
Maybe the silly thing will get better mileage now.
But I don't think so though.
