I just recently purchased a 1981 El Camino. I was told it would not pass emissions testing though after I purchased it. I talked to a few friends and my boyfriend told me to run my car to about a quarter tank and put a bottle of rubbing alcohol in the gas tank and it will fire hot enough and pass the emissions. Is this true and will it hurt the engine if I do so?
