I HAVE A 1979 CHEVY C-1O WITH A 350 V8 FOUR BOLT ENGINE I JUST REPLACED THE STARTER AND IT STILL WONT START..WHEN I TURN THE KEY I HEAR THE STARTER HIT THE FLY WILL AND MAKE A CLICK NOISE AS IF THE STARTER IS KICKING OUT BUT NOT TURNING THE FLYWHEEL. WHAT COULD IT BE.

Try turning the engine over by hand. If you can do that, then you might have a battery that doesn't have enough oomph to turn the truck over. Another possibility is a bad/loose electrical connection somewhere... especially a ground.

Check the electrical connections that pertain to the starting circuit. Since you hear the starter kicking out to engage the flywheel, i would assume the control circuit for the starter solenoid is working correctly, so check the heavy gauge wire that feeds the starter and the ground strap from the frame to the engine block. Also make sure your battery is good.
