Engine Performance problem
1987 Chevy Nova 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

87 nova that is difficult to start if not been running daily. Once started it idles ok but when you drive is hesitates when giving it gas..almost like a flat spot..also when up to speed it "bucks". All filters, plugs and wire have been replaced. Carb kit was put on too..could this be a timing issue??

Inspect and test all the following listed below:

Oxygen sensors.
Catalytic converter.
Fuel injectors dirty/sticking.
Mass airflow sensor/Airflow meter.
Throttle position sensor.
Manifold absolute pressure sensor.
EGR Valve
Fuel pressure regulator leaking or defective fuel pump.
False air leakage.
Fuel contamination.
Foul/defective spark plugs.
Open spark plug wires.
Ignition coil/Coil packs defective.
Incorrect ignition timing.
Cap and rotor.

Note:If it doesn't apply disregard.
