My car was towed on the back of a truck back to my house. Now it won't go into gear.

make sure that the key is turned on and brake pedal deressed. then have a helper check to see if the shift release rod at bottom of steering column ismoving. it may have broken a cotter key and linkage fell out. if not this then you canalways get a professional opinion and talk to the tow truck company about damage....
