1970 Chevy Nova V8 Automatic

As of this morning (11-19) i noticed a large amount of white smoke coming from my exhaust. i know my timing is off but can that cause my head gasket to crack?

Excessive advance can cause many problems, head gaskets included.

Do a compression test on all cylinders, but you will most likely be changing head gaskets.

Also check head for cracks and warpage.

Another possibility is the intake manifold gaskets.
