Monte Carlo 2002 - door lock fuse

The fuse for the door locks blows out every time the AC is turned on. 55,000 mileage, 3.4 engine

Sounds like the ac clutch coil is shorted, to test unplug the ac compressor wire and turn the system on, if the fuse stays good replace ac compressor coil, please get back to me on this one, I what to know :D
