back break lights

I HAVE A 98 MONTE CARLO LS 2 DOOR, 180000 AND THE BACK BREAK LIGHTS STAY ON WHEN THE CAR IS ON DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT WILL FIX THIS PROBLEM :?:

There is switch box behind the brake pedal. When the contacts inside go bad the default is for the brake light to stay on. Buy it from the dealer. Screw it on exactly right for the -brake light on- function to be in sync with pedal pressure.
