2004 Chevy Monte Carlo Fueling the tank

I try to put fuel in my tank and it only takes a gallon or two and shuts off as if it were full. I put the pump handle in different positions but it still does the same thing!

It sounds like your gas tank vent is plugged.
It will be located on the top of the tank somewhere and most likely attached to the body somewhere near the tank.
