My 2001 Chevy Monte Carlo's air conditioner has recently been acting up. At first if I pushed the A/C button the light would come on but it would take a few minutes to finally blow air. Sometimes it wouldn't at all. This morning, I turned my car on and started down the road and my A/C light came on without me pushing it and started blowing air, even though I hadn't turned it on. If I tried to shut it off, it would not turn off. I tried to push the defrost button to see what that would do, but it also did not come on. What is going on?
