2001monte is making a high pitched squeal noise after car is shut down which gets very loud. Also when car is started sounds like a baby seal.

This is interesting. Because I'm not there it hear it, could it be vacuum leaking from an engine component? Do your brakes feel normal?

i have all new brakes. pads shoes; the noise iscoming fromfront end; cannot be heard while driving; lasts about 10 minutes after car is turned off. It sounds like a high pitched fog horn or something; pretty loud. The car has been just sitting for a couple of weeks

So when the car is off is when you hear it. Is the engine running at a normal operating temp (not overheating)? When the truck is making the sound, open the hood and see it the sound is coming from the brake booster or radiator / overflow.
