2000 Monte Carlo Car Alarm Problems

2000 Chev Monte Carlo 103,000miles.

My factory alarm keeps going off. I have removed the battery from the remote, disable the alarm system, and unplugged the battery. No matter what I do it just keep going off until I put the key in the ignition.

Does the remote work? does it arm/disarm? any reaction from the car when you use it (doors lock or unlock)? might need to be recoded to the vehicle.
