There is water in the floor board mostly on drivers side, what could be causing this?

Hi:
Check under the dash for leaks or evidence of leaks. It's most likely coming from the windshield seals.
I am not a mech but it could be your heater core under you dash leaking. I have heard this from some.

Hey guys. I have a 1996 Monte Carlo and there is water on my driver's side floor board also. I pulled the carpet up and there is some sort of small pipe that is super rusted. Do you have any idea what the pipe is called? It's just inside the door. Thanks.

No I see the electricity wires, which are to the left of this pipe. Could it be an A/C evaporation outlet? It's rusting so I'd like to replace it, but I can't order a new one if I can't name it. Thanks.

Okay, I pulled the carpet up just enough to expose the wet part of the carpet. These are the pictures of the 'pipe' that is rusting. It looks like it covers the cable for the parking brake release. Thanks for any help!

The one on the left is wire loom that is covering wiring and the one on the right is the parking brake cable. As far as the water, how far up does the mat get wet? The only thing I can think of is either the windshield is leaking or the weather strip iaround the door (most likely at the top) is allowing water to get in. On a dry day, take the car to the car wash or at home and have someone spray everywhere around the windshield while you watch for leaks under the dash and around the door. That would be my first guess. Sorry I can't be more helpful but that is what they would do at a shop.

It's supposed to rain here tomorrow so I'll put the car in the garage and see if it's still wet. I'll let you know what happens.
