i have a 1996 chevy monte carlo the car started running rough then it cut off it cranked back up and would run for 2-3 seconds and cut back off i have replaced the spark plugs the fuel pump and the computer could it be the sensoe in the key is gone bad

Usa a manual gauge to verify it still has fuel pressure when it dies. You can try reprogramming the pass-lock

GM PASS LOCK RELEARN- Ignition to "run" position, try to start and let key return to "run" position
Approx ten minutes security light will go off
Turn key "off" and wait 5 seconds
Repeat 2 more times for a total of 3 relearns.
Turn key off, then start it
