1995 Chevy Monte Carlo Front Wheel Drive Automatic 76000 miles

when the car is cool and I start it It will idle up to 2000-2500rpm and immediately drop to 1000rpm, if I dont give it gas It will stall.

check your throttle position sensor along with your idle air control valve , both of these sensors will give you the symptoms that you are describing.
