I have the SS model. When the car warms up the check engine light comes on and when you turn the car off it will not start again until it cools off and this could be several hours or overnight. The car is not overheating or at least there is no signs of overheating. It runs fine until it gets warmed up and the engine light comes on then you turn it off and there you sit waiting.

let me know what you think

Thanks!

I don't have any codes yet but It does crank no start. You can just keep cranking it over until the battery dies and it won't start but if it sits for awhile then it will start up. Strange!

My 1987 Monte Carlo is doing the same thing. It signals a code 13. What did you guys find wrong with yours?

Hello,

#13 is an oxygen sensor issue which when they get hot can short out and cause the engine is stall. I would unplug the sensor and then drive the car (it will not hurt it) to see if the car stalls/will not start hot. Please run this test and get back to us.

Cheers, Ken
