1978 Chevy Monte Carlo Spark Plugs

I know what the firing order is for my car, but I dont know how they go on the spark plugs. I assumed that they went from left to right in the order of 1 through 8 like a zig zag to the back of the motor and number 8 landing on what would be number 2 for the firing order, but I dont think that it is right. My firing order is 18436572. Thank You in advance

1 is on the drivers side front and 2 is passengers front and yes they zig zag, odds on drivers and even on passengers side and the firing order is clockwise
