I have a 2006 Malibu that I purchased at the end of 2006. They just had to replace/repair my cylinder head. This sounds bad to me, can someone please let me know how serious this is. Yes, they fixed it, but I am concern about long term.

Should I get rid of this car now?

I will say tho it sounds unusual, if the guy in the local dealer did a good job, keep it thru the warrantee period, that way you'll have more time to make up your mind! I had a Hyundai with a bad lower end, they replaced the short block, and I drove it 2 years with no further problems! Then traded for a Tucson.
