Chevy Malibu Steering Shaft

Hey rj,
they are basically saying that all they will cover is the power steering pump and the steering rack. All the other components in the steering system are not covered under the warranty

Internal meaning that there is fluid doing the lubricating. The shaft may be under OEM recall, Check with the dealer. The shaft has some grease, but not lubricated in an enclosed environment.

i had mine replaced also but it was due to a problem i encountered that was under the original warranty and was overlooked on two prior occasions in for repair. the dealershuip made the shaft repair at no cost. you have allerted me to the terms of extended warranties that require indepth attention. unfortunately this is probably of little help to you but allow me to thank you for your information,
