Electrical problem
2007 Chevy Malibu 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I am a middle age woman in the very cold winter state of Michigan. I am thinking about getting a remote car starter but my nephews who work on cars (they are not mechanics; they think they are), say they are bad on the starter. Is this true?

if you install a factory GM one they work very well, its the aftermarket ones that cause alot of problems.stay away from the after market ones. you have an 07 these vehicles have the set up on them from the factory you just have to go to the dealer and have it installed, just a reprogram and 2 new key fobs. most are remote start ready, just have to look at the RPO codes AP3 and AP8 are remote ready.post back with any other questions.
