I had a dead battery. After replacing it my fuel miliage wend way down. the repair shop said i need to reannitialize my system, whatever that means. he said for 75 bucks he could reteach it to read the sensors. Can I not do that some how myself. it'll take him about 30 seconds he said.

Hello,

The vehicle will relearn on its own. However, it will take some time. I don't remember how many miles but it will be hundreds and so many key starts.

There is nothing you can do yourself to speed up the process unless you purchase the equipment needed to do the job. Which would cost alot more than the $75 the tech can do in 30 - 90 sec.
