The steering will go out and then sometimes work. I have read the literature on the power steering for the Malibu. I understand that the power steering is electric. Can this problem be fixed by the local mechanic in attempts to save money or is the dealership my only option. The radio will also alert me by giving me a reading tellig me power steering.
