2003 Chevy Malibu-
Got oil changed from Jiffy Lube Feb 26th, no problems sited.
Got new tires two weeks after, no problems reported.
March 4th-
Friday my car ran great , no problems, no sign of a problem , no overheating ....nothing wrong.
Sat morning i go out to start it ..it wont start.
It sounds like it's about to start and click over but fails to connect completely over and start. Cranks but will not fire.
SO i call AAA and they tow it to a "AAA Approved Place" , they "look at it" however they never even opened to hood to show me the problem, they told me that there is oil in the water tank and they think i have a cracked head gasget and they it is going to cost $3,000 to fix. This is more than what my car bluebooks for at this time!!!!!
Before I junk the car I want to know if you think this sound like bull... or if the problem sounds properly diagnosed. I dont know if I should try and have it towed to another place or try to sell it to a dealership for like $200.
I just put new $400 tires on the thing and they have less than 100 miles on them, so if you have a suggestion on what I should do with those to try and get some money back that would be great also.
Thanks- :(
