2002 Chevy Malibu squealing noise under hood

Mine does as well. I was told that it was the harmonic balancer because it shifts excessively from side to side when the car is turned on. Replacement cost through Pep Boys - $56. Free labor through family... Still have not taken care of this but within a week with have to - the noise is driving me crazy. We'll see how it goes...
